July 2004: Tony Walsh's Minjack article on Multiplayer Gaming's Quiet Revolution covered the Virtual Walk on the Moon.

June 2003: A chapter written by Bruce Damer hfor Brenda Laurel's upcoming book Design Research (MIT Press). This chapter, titled A Virtual Walk on the Moon, Cyberspace meets Outerspace: Experimental Design Research in a New Medium documents the Contact Consortium's pioneering role in the experimental derivation of best practices in the creation of compelling online events in virtual worlds in the late 1990s.
