DigitalSpace Corporation Licensee/Member: Steve Turner

STEVE TURNER has spent most of his working life in the commercial furniture industry in his native Australia. Steve has owned and operated his own companies selling, importing and manufacturing chairs and tables. He has also been employed by companies, which have grown too fast and lacked the infrastructure and systems to match their growth, and create a profitable working structure.

Coming out of that experience about seven years ago Steve discovered the Internet and hasn't looked back since. He was amazed by what the Internet could do and in 1997 came across the Traveler program (which is now part of the DigitalSpace Corporation family of products) and knew at once he wanted to be part of it. Steve's experiences in Traveler suggested to him that the Internet is the future for many industries but that the big winners will be education and communications.

Steve decided to take the plunge in 1999 and he formed his own company VoiCom , selling voice communication by way of another Commons product, TalkSpace, as well as offering Traveler, both of which he believes will provide an exciting future. Steve's support for the Commons in terms of growing TalkSpace and Traveler usership as well as his "down under" perspective is appreciated by all.

On a personal note, Steve has been holding Christian church services in Traveler for four years
