
Feb 12, 2009: Bruce Damer presented in the Architecture & Complexity: Systems Architecture Architecture &: Interdisciplinary Seminar at the Bartlett School of Architecture, University of London as part of the celebration of the 200th anniversary of Charles Darwin's birth.

Mar 12-13 , 2009: Bruce Damer and Galen Brandt presented at the Taxonomy of Virtual Worlds for Education Workshop the University of Pennsylvania. The workshop was sponsored by the National Science Foundation.

April 3-5, 2009: CONTACT (silver anniversary) was held at NASA Ames Research Center in Moffett Field, California. This was the twenty fifth conference featuring a star-studded cast of writers, artists, scientists and thinkers from many CONTACTs past. Bruce Damer presented an update on DigitalSpace's work for NASA and the EvoGrid project.

April 8, 2009: Bruce Damer presented the EvoGrid at DorkBot in San Francisco, CA. See the high def video here.
April 9, 2009: Was the third annual Yuri's Night (Bay Area) which this year was held at the California Academy of Sciences in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, CA. Bruce presented 'The EvoGrid: Evolving our way into the Solar System' at 9pm PST.

April 13, 2009: Bruce Damer presented the EvoGrid at Stanford University as a part of the MediaX speaker series, Stanford, CA.

April 24, 2009: Bruce Damer remotely presented a session on the history of virtual worlds in learning and DigitalSpace's Educational Spacewalk Simulation at the Immersive Education Initiative's London Summit at the London School of Economics (May 23-24th).
May 5, 2009: Bruce Damer presented "Digital Spaces: an open-source 3D platform" at the Autonomous Systems and Robotics Seminar at NASA Ames Research Center (2:30-3:30p Bldg N269, Rm 179).

May 6, 2009: Bruce Damer presented the Educational Spacewalk Simulation for the upcoming Hubble Servicing Mission STS-125 at the Astronomy Visualization Workshop hosted by the California Academy of Sciences, 6 - 8 May 2009, which brought together astronomy education and public outreach professionals as well as Bay Area graphics and interactive specialists.

May 14-18, 2009: Bruce Damer and Galen Brandt visited and jointly presentated (see above) at the HUMlab at Umea University in Umea, Sweden in celebration of the opening of the HUMlab II expansion. Galen's individual presentation was "Tiny Dancers, Singing Fish, Burning Man: Virtual Worlds, Real Stories" and Bruce presented "Will Bona Fide Life Evolve from within Human Technology (and what are the consequences of this happening)?" and a second session on the history of computing. May 20-23, 2009:Was Open Questions on the Origins of Life, a workshop in San Sebastian - Donostia, Spain which DigitalSpace's Bruce Damer attended in support of the EvoGrid project.

May 26, 2009: Was the next installment of the nUCLEAR talk series at the Digital Biology Group at University College London, hosted by Dr. Peter J. Bentley. Bruce Damer presented the EvoGrid project.
